Getting The Most From Your Candles

Candle Tips and Safety

1.   Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch each time you light your candle

2.   Avoid drafts to keep candles from smoking or dripping

3.   Keep away from all flammable materials

4.   Always place in or on the appropriate holder and on a stable even surface.

5.   Keep away from children and pets

6.   Keep free of debris, don't let wick trimmings, matches, etc. fall into the wax pool

7.  Prior to burning refrigerate to prolong the life of your candle, (wrap in foil or plastic wrap to keep wick from absorbing moisture.)

8.   Use caution when extinguishing the flame. Do not blow or snuff out. Try
placing 2 fingers in front of the flame and blowing on your fingers. The air
will move around your fingers and safely extinguish the flame without
      splattering wax.

9.   To set the memory of your candle burn for the same amount of time as the
diameter of the candle, (3" diameter pillar burn for 3 hours), the first time you light it.

10.  Glass or metal containers may become very hot, handle with care!

11.  Do not allow the flame to touch the side of the jar.

12.  Do not use if the container is chipped or cracked.

13.  Do not burn all the way to the bottom of the container.

14.  Always place on a heat resistant surface such as a trivet.

15   Natural waxes such as soy, palm or other vegetable blends have different
burning characteristics. Follow the instructions on the label to ensure that
you get the most enjoyment from your candle.
